A special guest in the online Weekly Writer Club is someone who has any experience to share about a hobby or career. We interview you (based on the questions below), write a short article, and then feature you as someone willing to receive letters from Club members. What may be simple and ordinary for you can be of great interest to a child! By being our guest, you are offering a community service to kids in Grades 2-8 by both sharing your story and allowing them to write you a letter. Thank you so much; we really appreciate you! We'd like to feature you as a guest in the WWClub through a short article, a photo of you (serious or creative), and any digital images that might reflect the career or hobby that you enjoy. Even a photo of you when you were in Grades 2-8! The only thing we ask is that you agree to write back to any child who writes to you. They will include a stamped, addressed envelope for your convenience. In their letter they are supposed to ask you 1-2 questions that you can respond to. They’ll be sharing your response with other WWClub members. This helps everyone and they get very excited when you write back! The WWClub is new!. We are just starting this year! We don't anticipate that you will receive any or many letters, but your interview will be online for a while, so we just don't know what to expect. At any time, if you receive TOO many letters, you can write a generic "Dear Weekly Writer Friends" letter and copy it to all. Just let them know that you read their letters and are sending one response to everyone because of the high volume of letters you’ve received or your limited time. Either way, they’ll understand. If you don’t want to keep the original letter, you can send it back with your response. They keep a portfolio of their writing and they’ll be saving all their responses, too. I’m sure they’ll treasure your letter and your encouraging words.
